[UPDATE] Tournament Fees & Payment

As a reminder, the deadline for tournament fees has been extended to tomorrow, Friday, January 30. However, as it seems that we are experiencing issues with receiving items sent to our PO box, you may present a check at the registration desk in Kennedy Hall in front of Call Auditorium on the morning of the tournament. Alternatively, you may Venmo to annie-miao or Zelle to (609) 845-5839.

Event Schedule & Homerooms

Attached are copies of a tentative schedule and homerooms with room numbers. Please note that the rooms are subject to change.

Additionally, coaches are now responsible for throwing out any trash in the team homerooms on tournament day. Locations of dumpsters and trash bags will be provided. We appreciate your support in helping us alleviate the burden on campus staff.

[UPDATE] Team Forms

The deadline for team form submissions to the Google submission form is Saturday, January 31. Please see our Registration webpage for an outline of the required documents. If you have several students that are unable to submit forms by this deadline, you may submit the forms on hand and upload any remaining forms to your team-specific Google Drive folder afterwards. Additionally, all teams are encouraged to bring hard copies of all team forms in case there are any issues with specific students’ forms.

Please note that by signing the Child Youth Safety form, we (Science Olympiad at Cornell) are not held responsible in the event of any injury. Coaches are responsible for students for the entirety of the opening ceremony and on tournament day, so any medical emergencies outside of minor injuries that can be treated with a first aid kit should be handled by the respective coach(es).

Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony will be from 6:00-7:30 pm on Friday, February 6, location TBD. We will be providing Cornell Dairy ice cream, and various Cornell STEM organizations will be tabling. Additionally, we will have trivia and scavenger hunt activities with prizes, and our merch table will be available with new 2025-2026 merch items!

Day-Of Details

The location of the registration desk will be in Kennedy Hall outside Call Auditorium. Any outstanding team forms and registration payments should be submitted to the registration desk on the morning of the tournament. Additionally, we will have executive board members stationed at the desk for the entirety of the tournament to address any questions, appeals, or for first-aid needs. Our merch table will also be adjacent to the registration desk with items available for purchase.

Additionally, the coaches meeting will be held at 6:30 am on the morning of the tournament (Saturday, February 7) at  Kennedy Hall near the registration desk.

The closing ceremony will be held in Call Auditorium at 6:30 pm. Seating is first-come first-serve, and medals and trophies will be awarded to the top six and three teams, respectively.

Trial Events & Build Sign Ups

We will be running Ornithology and Pokemon PSET. The rules may be found attached. As a reminder, coaches may sign up for trial and build events on Scilympiad via the Head Coach Dashboard. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns with the event sign-up process.
